Budget for the takes.
And the ones you keep.
New paid memberships include a separate monthly allowance for Gemini scripts and analysis; usage limits apply. Your account shows the remaining allowance. Image, video and audio generation, along with Claude and Director’s Cut scripts, use production credits. The charge depends on the operation, engine, settings and duration. Review the displayed charge before starting. New media takes and AI media revisions use additional credits. Editing saved material remains available. A timeline limit is editing capacity, not a promise of that many generated minutes.
What changes the cost?
| Production stage | Usage driver | A practical control |
|---|---|---|
| Script development and revisions | Included Gemini script and analysis allowance; Claude and Director’s Cut use production credits | Review the allowance and quoted charge. Approve the brief and structure before generating visual assets. |
| Reference images and storyboards | Engine, output count, input references and resolution | Keep approved references and regenerate only the panels that need work. |
| Footage and alternate takes | Engine, duration, resolution, audio and each new generation | Budget generated seconds separately from seconds you keep in the cut. |
| Voice, music and sound effects | Text length, generated duration, settings and new versions | Approve lines and cue direction before generating longer passages. |
| Editing and delivery | Editing existing assets differs from requesting new generation or a render | Review any displayed job charge before starting and verify the delivered files. |
A 30-second cut can use more than 30 generated seconds.
Six accepted five-second shots give you a 30-second cut. If you generate two candidates for each shot, that is 60 generated seconds before any later replacements. Images, script development and sound are separate operations.
Multiply each planned generation by the charge shown for its chosen settings. Add the images, sound and revisions you expect. Do not divide a membership’s credits by a generic “seconds per credit” figure.
Three clear rules.
Monthly membership credits expire at the end of the billing period. Your next subscription allowance follows your billing cycle.
Purchased pack credits do not expire and add to available generation capacity. They do not unlock a higher membership’s capabilities.
The guided evaluation is one time. Develop a script and 2K storyboard stills in a one-time guided evaluation with up to 150 introductory credits. No credit card required. Generation limits apply; the allowance does not renew. Video and audio generation require a paid membership. It includes up to 5 script-generation requests within the evaluation limits. Saved project access continues after generation stops.
One-time credit packs.
No automatic top-up purchase. Confirm the price in checkout when you choose a pack.
| Pack | Credits | Price, USD |
|---|---|---|
| Booster | 500 | $35 |
| Reel Pack | 1,500 | $85 |
| Production Pack | 5,000 | $259 |
When a job fails or a take needs changing.
A requested replacement take or AI revision is new generation. A technical failure is different: check your balance and the job status before retrying. If a charge appears incorrect, contact support with the project and job details so it can be reviewed. A customer credit correction is separate from any supplier-side charge.
Questions about credits.
What is Lumier Pictures?
Lumier Pictures is an AI film production platform for script development, character references, storyboards, generated footage, sound, editing and production handoff.
Can I try the studio without a credit card?
Develop a script and 2K storyboard stills in a one-time guided evaluation with up to 150 introductory credits. No credit card required. Generation limits apply; the allowance does not renew. Video and audio generation require a paid membership. You can keep editing and accessing your saved projects after the allowance is used. Existing trials retain their original end date.
How much does a finished film cost?
The total depends on generated footage, image and sound choices, revisions and rejected takes. Plan a short scene first, review its usage, then budget the full production.
Does Lumier guarantee the same face in every shot?
Identity Lock uses reusable character references, and identity scoring helps you review a take against a reference. Generated results can vary; review each shot and allow for retakes.
What resolution can I deliver?
Director supports up to 1080p video. Studio, Production and Cinema support up to 4K still images and 1080p video within the membership limits. A 4K still is not a native 4K video master. Check the selected engine and export settings for the available output.
Can I use the output commercially?
Paid memberships permit commercial use subject to the selected model, uploaded materials and asset licenses. You are responsible for the necessary rights and permissions. An account membership does not clear third-party rights.
What happens when credits run out?
Paid members can buy a credit pack or review a larger membership. Subscription credits refresh at the next billing period. The guided evaluation is a one-time allowance. Editing saved material does not require a new generation, and your saved projects remain accessible.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel a subscription through Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A 14-day money-back guarantee applies to first-time paid subscriptions; contact legal@lumierpictures.com within 14 days of the first charge.
