Define the visual direction
Build character and location references, choose camera and lens references, and prepare storyboards. Use material you have permission to upload.

Plan the production
Break the script into shots and organize the production book. Select an engine and generation settings for each shot.

Generate and select takes
Generate footage from the project references and scene direction. Inspect each take for motion, continuity and unwanted artifacts; retain the takes you want to edit.
Review: new takes use additional credits. A generated shot is a creative candidate.
Build the sound
Generate or import dialogue, music and effects, then place them against the picture. Check source rights and voice permissions.
Review: pronunciation, sync, cue timing and sound levels.
Shape the edit
Arrange selected clips, adjust pacing and build the cut. Keep project material together as the sequence develops.
Distinguish: editing saved material from new AI generation or a render job.
Validate the delivery
Prepare the available media, timeline handoff and production documents. Check the export settings and open the package in the intended editing or delivery environment.
Confirm: picture, audio, captions, rights and the final file. 4K stills are distinct from native 4K video.

Make one scene first.
Choose a short sequence with one character, one location and a clear action. Review the script, reference images, generated take and sound together. Use the actual usage and the number of accepted takes to plan the larger project.

What is Lumier Pictures?

Can I try the studio without a credit card?
Develop a script and 2K storyboard stills in a one-time guided evaluation with up to 150 introductory credits. No credit card required. Generation limits apply; the allowance does not renew. Video and audio generation require a paid membership. You can keep editing and accessing your saved projects after the allowance is used. Existing trials retain their original end date.
How much does a finished film cost?
The total depends on generated footage, image and sound choices, revisions and rejected takes. New paid memberships include a separate monthly allowance for Gemini scripts and analysis; usage limits apply. Your account shows the remaining allowance. Image, video and audio generation, along with Claude and Director’s Cut scripts, use production credits. The charge depends on the operation, engine, settings and duration. Review the displayed charge before starting. New media takes and AI media revisions use additional credits. Editing saved material remains available. A timeline limit is editing capacity, not a promise of that many generated minutes. Plan a short scene first, review its usage, then budget the full production.
Does Lumier guarantee the same face in every shot?
Identity Lock uses reusable character references, and identity scoring helps you review a take against a reference. Generated results can vary; review each shot and allow for retakes.
What resolution can I deliver?
Director supports up to 1080p video. Studio, Production and Cinema support up to 4K still images and 1080p video within the membership limits. A 4K still is not a native 4K video master. Check the selected engine and export settings for the available output.
Can I use the output commercially?
Paid memberships permit commercial use subject to the selected model, uploaded materials and asset licenses. You are responsible for the necessary rights and permissions. An account membership does not clear third-party rights.
What happens when credits run out?
Paid members can buy a credit pack or review a larger membership. Subscription credits refresh at the next billing period. The guided evaluation is a one-time allowance. Editing saved material does not require a new generation, and your saved projects remain accessible.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel a subscription through Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A 14-day money-back guarantee applies to first-time paid subscriptions; contact legal@lumierpictures.com within 14 days of the first charge.
